I want to register my child, when should/can I do that?

Our Royal Program is all year-round so a player can be registered at any time. A full month is charged at initial registration through the website, the following scheduled recurring monthly tuition payment is prorated in case any classes were missed. If you’re not yet sure whether to sign up for the monthly classes, we offer introductory classes at 50% off, no commitment. No registration fees will be charged. Max of 2 introductory classes per student. 

Where can I register my other child?

Visit our website and log in with your credentials and you will be routed to your profile. Go to Child profile and click add child then fill up all the fields needed and continue with the program you wish to enroll your child. If you are having difficulties adding siblings, just give us a call directly and we'll be happy to walk you through the process.

Will I get a refund if I stop membership/attendance?

If a student needs to cancel classes for the month, a written notice must be provided at least three (3) days before the scheduled payment (on the 22nd). If payment already went through before the notice is given, a refund can be provided, less the refund fee of $25, if no class was attended for that particular month. The amount to be prorated or refunded is calculated based on the classes available, not a calendar date. A refund fee of $25 applies to each transaction. Example: Two siblings, two transactions 2 x $25.

I'm a former student, do I need to pay for the membership fee/Initial registration again?

When a former student re-enrolls to the program, the initial registration fee of $89 no longer applies, as long as re-enrollment happens within two (2) years from last attendance. Only the annual fee of $64 will be paid as scheduled every 15th of September. The annual fee shall not be prorated in any instance.

What are the registration fees for?

The registration fees consist of three (3) types of fees. First is the membership fee ($89) which is a payment towards our affiliation with sports organizations like NBA Jr. and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Second is the annual fee ($64) which is a payment towards the rental of our gym tools & equipment, gym staff and maintenance, and other related fees. Third is our shipping fee ($10) which is a payment towards the shipping of the complimentary uniform and basketball ball to your address. All fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

I missed a class, can I make up for it?

Students may only make up a class in the same month of their missed class, provided a written notice was sent to the management any time before the start of the class or at most three (3) days after the class was missed. If the class was missed in the last week of the month it can be made up the following month. Class cancellation due to a holiday or management decision will also merit a make-up class for the students. No tuition credit will be provided in such cases.

I missed some classes for this month, can I receive credit for it?

A credit tuition is only applicable if the student has NOT attended any classes for the month they are enrolled. In case of injury or other extraordinary circumstances, a credit may be given provided the management receives written notification from the parent. Instances outside of the mentioned scenarios will need an additional review from the management. If the student is provided a credit for missed classes, that credit is only valid for twelve (12) months. The counting of tuition credit is in dollars, not the number of classes.

I will be away for a few weeks and cannot attend classes. What can I do?

Depending on the number of classes that will be missed, a makeup class may be due, provided the management receives a written notice or email beforehand. If the number of classes exceeds a month, it is advisable to pause membership and freeze payment for the month(s) you’ll be away and unfreeze again on the month you’ll be back. Please email or call us directly regarding this matter.

My son/daughter is [age], what programs do you have available for him/her?

There are two types of basketball programs: one is the monthly group classes which occur at the gym, and the other is the private sessions which occur at the students’ specified location. 
  • Our monthly basketball program is divided into three (3) major age groups (ages 4-5, 6-9, and 10-14), subdivided into different skill levels, across four (4) different locations. More information on our group classes here. Visit this link if you need more information on our locations. 
  • Our private basketball coaching program is divided into two groups: 1 hour one on one sessions (private) and 1 hour one to four student sessions (semi-private). More information on this here.

Do you have promotional vouchers we can use?

Our Royal programs are offered by Groupon, KidPass, and CourseHorse. Once a voucher has been purchased, send us an email of the screenshot copy for verification. Upon verification, you will receive an email from the management regarding your scheduled dates for classes. Only one (1) Groupon purchase is allowed per student.

I won a voucher from an auction at our school, how can I redeem it?

Send us an email at info@royalbasketballschool.com containing the screenshot of the voucher and the place/school where you got it from. Please allow 1-3 days for us to verify this. Once verified, we will email you your schedule and you may start at the agreed start date.

I want to upgrade/downgrade my membership, how can I do that?

If you’ve already been billed for the current month, the upgrade/downgrade of membership will apply towards the next month as we are on a monthly recurring payment plan. Give us a call or write us an email and our customer service representatives will be happy to walk you through the process.

What are the sizes available for Royal Basketball reversible Uniforms?

What is a Make-up class?

A make-up class or a make-up session is when you missed your class or session during your schedule and you want to make up the class for another schedule.

How do I schedule Make-up Class?

Simply go to our Calendar Page and log in your credentials to schedule a Make-up class on the available day/time and locations or you can contact us at 310-744-5403 and will walk you through the Make-up process or just reply to this email and send us your preferred day/time and location for make-up.

How frequently can I schedule a Make-up Class?

We offer UNLIMITED make up class within a month. If a class is missed, the student may join another make-up class held in the same month, provided a written notice or email notification is sent to the management. Notice may be provided any time before the start of the scheduled class or at most three days after the class was missed. If the class was missed in the last week of the month it can be made up the following month.

Is it okay to sign up for multiple plans?

Yes! definitely, You can sign up for an additional plan on top of your current plan. For example, you currently sign up for once a week class and you wish to sign up for private/semi private class, that's possible! simply enroll to our website or give us a call and will walk you through the signup process.

What are Bonus Classes?

The monthly tuition is equivalent to four (4) weeks of basketball lessons. In case a month has five (5) weeks, there is a BONUS class at no additional charge. If a student missed a class on the 5th week of the month, no make-up class will be provided for BONUS classes.

Holidays and Cancelled events.

Class cancellation due to a Holiday or management decision will merit a make-up class for the students. No tuition credit will be provided in such cases.

How much is the siblings discount?

Sibling discount 10%. Applies to the younger sibling, also to the child with minimum attendance plan, whichever is lower.

What day of the month for us to pay the monthly tuition.

Monthly Tuition. The current month's tuition is scheduled for payment every 25th of the previous month. (Example: You’ll pay October 25th for your classes in the month of November)

Suddenly my child got removed from the list of the scheduled players for group classes.

Due to the overwhelming interest in our programming, and our desire to keep class sizes regulated, we have implemented a policy where all fees must be paid by the 25th of the month. If fees are not paid on time, the student may forfeit their spot to another student who is on the waiting list.

When is the billing date?

The billing date falls every 25th of the month. Billing date refers to when payment of monthly tuition will be taken out. This is a payment for the following month's class. 

As an example, payment that was taken out on June 25th, is a payment ahead of time for the July Class.

Can I pay by cash or check?

Credit Card or Debit Card accounts only will be accepted as a mode of payment; tuition fees will be AUTOMATICALLY charged every 25th of each month.

How do I put a stop on the recurring payment?

A written notice is required at least 3 days prior to the billing date stating their reason if they don’t want to get charged for the tuition.

How do I update my card details?

Parents should also inform us before the billing date by simply calling our customer service number if there is an issue with their credit card details e.g. if they need to change the card information, if the card got stolen or if they received a new card.

We will be away next month. I missed calling on or before the billing date. Now, I was charged, can I get a refund?

If payment already went through before the notice is given, a refund can be provided less the $25 refund fee, if no class was attended for that particular month.

What If I miss to inform you about my new card details?

A $25 late fee will be charged if the payment did not go through on the billing date. Parents are required to pay the monthly tuition + late fee otherwise the membership may be forfeited and they won’t be able to participate in the practice. We recommend calling us before the 25th if your card got stolen or if you’re having an issue so we can put a stop on the payment.

Who is eligible for refunds and credits?

Players who never attended class for the particular month are eligible for a refund or payment credit; otherwise if they attended at least once they are no longer eligible however since they are already billed and paid up for the month, they can still finish the remaining classes for that month.

How soon will the refunds reflect in my account?

All refunds will be processed on the 1st day of the month or the month immediately following.

I'm a former student. Do I need to pay for the membership fee/Initial registration again?

When a former student re-enrolls to the program, the initial registration fee of $69 no longer applies provided that they were inactive within 48 months only, otherwise they have to pay another membership fee. Only the annual fee of $54 will be paid as scheduled every 15th of September. The annual fee shall not be prorated in any instance.

Where's my Uniform/Ball/Product order at the store website?

You can track your order here. Simply enter the tracking information sent to you. Uniforms, Balls, and other Royal products and equipment are shipped and delivered within three to four weeks from the date of purchase.

I didn't receive a tracking number.

Please allow 3-5 days upon registration/purchase for the product to be shipped out to our partner courier and once shipped you will receive an email confirmation with the tracking information or you may call us directly at 310-744-5403.

Can I purchase an additional uniform?

Yes! Simply visit our store website to purchase an additional uniform.

My Uniform doesn't fit, can I request for a different size?

If the uniform size you selected doesn't fit, please contact us at 310-744-5403 for the return process instructions.

What are your COVID protocols? Are there any waiver forms I need to fill out?

Our coaches are being tested for Covid regularly, some are already vaccinated too. Wearing masks, checking of temperature, and hand sanitization are encouraged before entering the gym. Whether on the bench or during game time, masks are still encouraged to be worn, but if the child is not comfortable, they’re okay to remove it.

Can I ask for a refund for my Royal Merch?

Royal Merchandise is NON REFUNDABLE

Can I ask for an exchange of items ?

Items that meet the Exchange Request Criteria may be exchanged within 7 days after being delivered to you. Take note that it needs to be returned with the original package. Exchange Request Criteria Requests should meet the following criteria for a merchandise return and exchange:
  • Merchandise is damaged by company fault
  • Client ordered a wrong variation (size/color)
  • Client received wrong item (size, color, products) 
  • Client received Incomplete/Missing merchandise 
  • Deliver to a wrong address

Is the return of items free of charge?

There will be a $10 restocking fee that will be charged automatically on your registered card.

How much do events cost?

The cost of events varies. Half-time/pregame shows range from $50-$90 or please refer to our event page for pricing.

What are the events you offer?

What is the Development League?

The Development League (or D-League) is a collection of Royal Basketball players from all over Los Angeles, who come together on Saturdays to play a full-fledged exhibition game. The game emphasizes progress and improvement over winning. Royal coaches will act as referees, scorekeepers, and of course sideline coaches; all ensuring that each player reaches their potential.

Can I join the Development League without signing up for classes?

Unfortunately, no. We require our players to be enrolled in practices in order to participate.

How do I sign up for the club team?

Our travel teams require a tryout, and approval by the head coach. If you would like to set up a tryout, fill out our contact form and we will get back to you.

How often are competitions?

Competitions take place once a month.

  3. Did not receive a confirmation email? Kindly check you Spam, Trash, and other email folders (promotions, social, forum etc.) 
  4. Payment did not go through? Below are the common issues for failed payment or transactions. Please contact your bank if it's related to the list mentioned below otherwise send us a report.
    • Your credit card has expired or been canceled 
    • You don’t have enough funds in your account at the time we try to process your payment 
    • You’re trying to pay for your subscription with a gift card or a prepaid card 
    • Your card doesn’t accept foreign transactions or purchases to foreign companies 
    • Your card doesn’t accept online recurring billing 
    • Your bank declined the payment
